History

Longner Hall has been the seat of the Burton family since the 14th century and remains a private family home. The present house is a Grade I Listed Tudor Gothic style two-storey house by John Nash which replaced a manor of the 16th/17th century on the same site. The house is set within Longner’s Grade II listed park, designs for which were presented by Humphry Repton, the landscape designer, in 1804.
